Thank you for all the kind comments that you left to my previous post - Its good to know that there are still some of you out there who like to visit my blog from time to time...I've been off the radar for a little while trying to get over the fluey cold that was plaguing me - I've also been redecorating my daughter's bedroom like fury - I'm on the final leg of the painting. The floor is the last to be done, but has to be painted in two halves, shifting furniture as I go!

| Anyway, today's post is supposed to be about my shop, so I shall start by showing you some of my most recent finds... |
| A sweet little metal wash stand with its original enamelware bowl and soap dish - I love that this one has an integrated towel rail too. |
| Beautiful antique silk sachet, with ribbonwork violets and hand painted leaves. |
Cute linen collar - all the rage at the moment! ;-)) |
| An Easter bunny statue for springtime decorating... |
Beautiful antique cotton camisole.
And one fashioned from pieces of lace a long time ago... |
| A fabric covered box full of knitting needles and sewing gadgets. |
| Metal Deco hat stand with a very weighty bottom! |
A large stunning c1930's chenille table cover/sofa throw (the choice is yours)...
In a fabulous rose design.
This c1930's sewing table/storage system sold the very day I brought it into the shop.
| Lots of lovely Victorian greetings cards, which always look pretty placed amongst displays in the home. |

| So, in the shop I've been freshening up the displays. Mother's day is early this year - so don't forget! - March 10th. |
| I have lots of little gift ideas for the occasion. |
| Springtime gardening window display. |
| Inside I have a few Easter treasures, which is also earlier this year! |
Other areas of the shop reflect my love for vintage glamour.
| Handmade cushions in an old painted trunk. |
| I still have quite a bit of china for sale. |
With the sewing table selling so fast (above) - I then had to have a quick re-gig to fill the gap... |
Whilst I'm here, I'd just like to mention a surprise parcel that arrived at my shop last week, from a lovely lady called Pat. It was this wonderful old card full of glass buttons. I think its a lovely record of a style from times past - I may find a couple of similar buttons in my supplies to replace the missing ones, and place the whole card in a frame to enjoy on display. Thank you again Pat! |
