Fair Days...

My thanks to all who stopped-by today for a chat or to make a purchase from my stall at the Vintage & Handmade Spring Fair, Chipping Sodbury.

It's always good to catch-up with friends and like-minded ladies at these events. 

I'm taking a break from the fair circuit for now though, to focus on other things.

The Original Vintage & Handmade Spring Fair

Final bits have been sorted for Saturday's upcoming Vintage & Handmade Spring Fair at Chipping Sodbury.

I've even found some time to get creative - I haven't made a fairy gal for a while now. 

I was able to dig out a few special treasures and trinkets that I'd squirrelled away... 

and have come up with flower fairy Aubretia to welcome spring to my stall. 

She's dressed in violets and apple blossoms and has shimmery sequinned wings made from old French dress trims.  

My stall will be packed full of her other fairy friends and some special springtime goodies too.

A warm welcome awaits at this lovely fair - Hope to see you there.

PS: Just three years on, my Viburnum bush is already of a size where I can cut some of its flowers for the house :)

Wordless Wednesday...

Lovely Lilacs

The high winds were whirling yesterday, sending our lilac tree boughs in all directions - I was worried they'd end up hitting the telephone wires that stretch over the top of it...So we decided to take down a couple of the highest branches...

Gave us the lovely excuse to enjoy some of the flowers inside though.

Always one of my favourites of the season.

My sweet French girl is enjoying them too :)

and of course huge thanks to all who made a purchase from my stall at the Vintage Jumble Sale...I hope you will enjoy your bargains!

My next date for the diary isn't very far away: Saturday 23rd May is the Original Vintage & Handmade Spring Fair at Chipping Sodbury...

As well as taking some special handmade pieces, I have decided to bundle up all that I have left from the jumble today, and offer bargain lucky-dip bags for sale too.

I hope to take a break from it all soon and so am looking to clear a lot of my stock if I can.

Only Two More Sleeps...

It's taken a while, but I've finally called a halt to my sorting, pondering and pricing of suitable items to bring to the Vintage Bazaar's Giant Vintage Jumble Sale on Saturday.  

I've been ruthless and am prepared to part with a lot - This is just a tiny portion of the treasures I'll be bringing...

Most items are priced at 50p to £1 as the email message from VB headquarters last night was

"pile it high and keep it cheap"!

If you plan on coming, do allow plenty of time to rummage through the mass of bargain items to be found on all of the stalls. It will be a fantastic opportunity to stock up on fabric supplies and vintage delights...There won't be another one until next year!
