There have been some sad times in 2007 that have left me realising how brief our existence on this planet really is....my new years resolution is to spend some time doing the things that I have always promised myself, but never allowed myself to take the time to do......
Time on the computer will be kept to a minimum, but I hope to increase the times spent with the people who are precious to me.
Have you made your New Years resolutions yet?
I would like to thank everyone who has left a comment on my blog over the last year and to wish everyone a fabulous 2008, with good health, happiness and every success!
I hope to have a huge clearance sale on my website next week, with good mark-downs on most of my vintage stock.
Hi Nikki
ReplyDeleteand a Happy New Year to you and yours. I agree that it's people who are precious that count - and deserve the most of our time. Hope you enjoy doing just that

Have a very Happy New Year, Niki! I agree with you that spending time with those precious to us is so very important!
ReplyDeleteOne of my own resolutions is to go back to England! (It may not happen THIS year, but it is definitely on our list. Hubby and I are in need of some REAL vacation time -- we haven't had a single day alone since starting a family -- and England has always been on the top of our list!)
Wise words as always Nikki. I hope 2008 will be a happy and fulfilling year for you and your famuily. Jackie Mxx

hi Niki,
ReplyDeletei just completely stumbled across your blog and have wasted a lovely hour reading some of your entries. Just before christmas you mentioned a flea market you visited and seemed to have had a great time foraging around for goodies! I have just moved to bath and am a great fan of car boots, flea markets etc but cant find details of any. I was wondering please if you could let me know of any? I will check back here to see if you have replied. Thank you for such a lovely website. And i hope you can help me .
Many thanks emma
Hi Emma,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment and welcome to Bath! - It's a pretty good area for finding goodies!
The Flea Market that I recently visited was at Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet. The next one is on January 27th. They also run a large Antiques and Collectors Fair there (more high-end stock, but still bargains to be found.) If you google 'Bath and West Showground', you should come up with a calender of events.
There is a great car boot sale which runs during the summer months on the Lansdown Race Course. (Usually starts in May to Oct.) This time of year you can visit the car boot at Standerwick Market, Frome - this runs all year, as it is undercover.
Hope this helps! Happy hunting!
Niki
