Embellished Shoes.

1. Take one pair of unworn satin shoes, bought from a charity shop for £3.

2. Glue small scraps of pretty vintage floral fabrics all over the surface. (I used PVA glue.)
3. Line the innersoles with antique French wallpaper.
4. Add layers of old lace fragments and braids.

5. And finish with miniature millinery flowers, pearls, buttons, beads and glass glitter on the heels.
(There are more photos on my Flickr pages.)
Have a great week,
Niki x

How lovely! Even though they are quite different, they reminded me of my wedding shoes. I took white crochet espadrilles, and embellished them with tiny pink satin rosebuds and added pink satin ribbon to lace around and tie at my ankles. They were perfect with my white cotton vintage skirt and blouse. You are so talented, and your shoes are just gorgeous.

Hello there Nikki. This is Lovely! I adore your site. I am enjoying reading about your adventures, especially the remodeling projects. My husband and I are getting ready to embark on some of our own remodeling projects at our little Victorian house.

Teafully,

These are breath-taking. And then to see the baby shoes in another post. I'm awed by your vision and your ability to make it come to reality.
