Spring Fever

All the spring sunshine and occasional showers we've been having have certainly been good for the plants...

Look at this huge flower that has appeared at the lower end of Shepton Mallet's Town Street since I was last there on Friday evening!

Isn't it lovely? Its beautifully crafted from woven willow stems and has been placed in one of the flower borders - I was quite surprised to see it when I drove into the town this morning.
Today I've been busy (faffing again! ;-)) - putting stock back on the shelves after the fair, as well as finding homes for the new items that I bought over the weekend.

I decided to utilise the shelf above the doors - its a bit of a 'dead' space, as it isn't always noticed by customers, but I thought it ideal to store some of the many original photographs that I have amassed over the years. They add a decorative touch, and if I sell the odd one or two now and then, then that will be a bonus.

It's been a good day to dust the shelves, re-stock and to generally tidy up.

I didn't quite finish by the end of the day, but I'm almost there.
I am hoping to add some items to my on-line shop later this month and I may also have a stall at the local flea market if the weather promises to be fine - I'll use it as an opportunity to clear some things from home and to make some space at No.1 for the new handmade stock I hope to find time to create.

(Just the carpet to vacuum too and all will be spick and span!)
The side windows have recently been re-dressed, so I got away with not having to think about those today...
I have this one with an 'Everything Stops For Tea' theme...

And the other has a touch of glamour with 'Hello, Hello, Who's Your Lady Friend?'!

I have my day off from the shop tomorrow...but I have plans...;-))
Hope you've had a happy day,
Niki x
