As we travelled back from a weekend away in Cornwall, we received news from our son-in-law-to-be that our gorgeous girl had gone into labour a few days early. We then continued to receive a running commentary via text messages of how things were going that night! We got home late and I couldn't sleep until I knew their tiny treasure had made it safely into the world...We finally heard just after midnight...
We got to meet our gorgeous girl's own little gorgeous girl, this afternoon...When I look at the photographs I was able to take, my heart just melts...It makes me well-up when I think of my lovely Nan missing her by just a few short months, but sadly I think that sort of thing happens in families...Our daughter has given her new baby, her Great Great Nan's name as her middle name...a lovely thought and one I know my Mum will be deeply touched by.
Welcome to the world gorgeous little girl...you are going to be so loved!
Niki xx
