I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of people who attended; some had travelled from Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire! Thankfully the rain that was forecast didn't appear and we saw the sunshine for most of the day.
I had painted furniture for sale under the raised deck....
And vintage goods were displayed in the cellar....
Sit and chat with friends here.....
And my Mum was serving tea, coffee and cakes in the kitchen; thanks Mum, I couldn't have managed without you!
More stock was in the living room, including 1950's millinery and American prom gowns......
What I wasn't expecting was the amount of flowers and gifts that I received! (Think I must have mentioned once or twice that I LOVE roses!!)
Thank you Debbie......................Thank you Anne.
Thank you Amanda...................Thank you Helen.
Thank you Louise.......................Thank you Clare.
Thank you Sue!............................................(Enamelware for sale.)
Thank you Sue!............................................(Enamelware for sale.)
By the time everyone left, the quantity of stock had certainly gone down! I would like to thank very much everyone who attended and thank you for all the purchases that you made. It was great fun to do; as I work from home I don't see many people during the week, so this gave me the opportunity to talk with like-minded girls!
Please read Ginny's post about the sale; I hadn't seen Ginny for several years and so it was lovely to see her and her daughter and talk 'vintage' and all things twinkly pink!
Oh Niki, its like reliving it all again. Your photo's are great.
ReplyDeleteI was so glad to get there, I don't know where the years went to - thank goodness for blog.
Thank you again for such a great time.
best wishes Ginny
Looking through the photo's on your site and Ginny's left me with a great urge to go shopping. I don't know where I'd find the fantastic shopping experience you provided tho.

ReplyDeleteI have never heard of a "vintage sale" here in the states. That might have been worth a flight over for sure. I recently found your delightful blog and others you have listed and I have become a blogging addict! Never thought it could happen to me-guess I just never found anything that interested me so much before!
ReplyDeleteHi Niki
ReplyDeleteIt was a super day/few hours and meeting some new faces (and some old ones of course), and your lovely Mum, was great. I've just left a message on Ginny's blog - shame I got there too late to say hello, especially as I have something for her! I see 2 of my purchases are on her photos!
I came home totally inspired, and now have to put on my thinking cap to see how I can incorporate some vintage loveliness into our home, too! (I wonder if Pauley will notice!)
