Beautifully printed and worthy of framing, which is what I plan to do with some of them.
I particularly like these two ads for Irresistible make up and fragrances.

And here, two adverts of the time, show the tragic Dionne quintuplets being used to endorse Karo syrup.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info about the Dionne quintuplets; I had never heard of them so I did some googling, and boy! Exploitation wasn't the word! "Zoo" comes to mind, in fact.

ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my blog. I learned of the sad Dionne's story after watching a film made about their birth and the subsequent life they led. There have been several documentaries about the sisters since then, where those of them who were still alive at the time were interviewed and all had very sad stories to tell.
