Vivid Lovelies!

There is very little view from my windows this morning, due to a thick fog lurking outside. I thought I would gather together my Anemone inspired goodies, to create a cheerful image to lift the spirits.

The colours of these amazing flowers are so vibrant and the centres of them look like little fuzzy creatures!

This is one of my favourite vintage tins printed with a big bowl of Anemones.

I also have a little china posy by Royal Denton and a tiny glass jar with an anemone inspired lid. One of my Barbola mirrors looking less vibrant, but still beautiful.

An old print by R.A Foster to complete the composition!
HAPPY TUESDAY!!!

  2. So beautiful, Niki! You create the best still-life compositions! You have beautiful treasures, too. The tin very much reminds me of an oil painting of a bowl of anemones my mom painted when I was little. She has it hanging in my parents' living room.

I've just come back from the garden centre having resisted the temptation to purchase a bunch of very realistic looking silk anenomes and what do I see?

  12. Hi Niki

What is it about anemones that make us all love them so much? They've always been my favourite flower and when we lived in Northampton all those years ago Mum would buy me the first bunch of the season every year. I missed it when we moved away. But now she's moved to be near us ... !!!!

If I may paraphrase an old saying...
