She makes the most exquisite headwear and has had her work featured in the book 'Marriage a la Mode'. I was able to purchased the unique headpiece from her and also the sculptural dolls dressed in vintage fabrics and trims.
We both had stands at a vintage textile fair in Honiton, Devon. After writing about the day here, I was asked by several Bloggers if Hesta had a website, which at the time she did not.....
But I am now pleased to announce that Hesta has launched 'Green Glamour' her new website, where her wonderful work can be viewed and ordered.
Hesta contacted me last week and asked if I would mention her website on my blog, which of course I was more than happy to do. What I wasn't expecting was for a gift to arrive from Green Glamour as a thank you!
Inside the fabulous hat box was one of her exclusive woollen 40's style hats that had amounted to Hesta being short-listed for the International Hat Designer of the Year Award last year. You must read the story behind her inspiration for this hat on her website - it's so sweet!
There are 4 amazing headpieces each very different in style, but all recycled from vintage fabrics and treasures.
Wonderful artistry and design.
Hesta also has a range of kits and small accessories for children, including pegdolls of mermaids, pirates, Ruby Red Riding Hood and Peggy Primrose.
Hesta hopes to soon introduce some 'off-the-peg' items to her website, which can be reserved and purchased straight away. I have already added her link to my webshop links page, so you can keep checking back whenever you have a moment, to see what's new.
http://www.green-glamour.co.uk/ I hope that you can find a moment to take a look.
(She lives in an old thatched cottage in Devon with her young family and says that it is difficult to get her work noticed.)
I would like to wish Hesta every success in this new venture!

You are such a generous and kind hearted person Niki to promote someone else as you often do. It really is difficult for handmade and creative artists to get themselves noticed, and you certainly deserve such a lovely gift from Hesta for such a great post.
