Found more pretty china to grace the shelves...
As well as sparkling glassware...
And the rails are stocked with festive party frocks...
Mostly from the 1950's and 60's.

Earlier today I displayed a few items from the 1940's, that I happened to have in stock at the moment, in one of my shop's side windows. This was to reflect the next episode of Turn Back Time; the High Street, showing on BBC1 at 9pm this evening, which will feature the war years. (I shall be back later tonight with another post of some of the photographs that I took during the filming of this episode.)

Another batch of beautiful items for your shop. I love your cushions, especially the one in the window. Have been watching 'Turn back Time'. A fascinating peek into social history. It is super, and everytime I get a peek at your shop, I announce to anyone listening what a lovely place it is and what delights you have for sale!
ReplyDeleteWell Niki its just finished and I loved the 30's but the 40's was the best! I love this programme and I hope the country watching it over the weeks will respect their local towns after this. I have always been involved in the promotion of using local market towns in North Yorkshire as well as promoting NY local food on a website, this programme was fab-u-lous! I also watch Craig on Strictly.........
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful dresses, Niki x
