Hi Niki,
You are so lucky to have seen what was going on first hand. I'm so looking forward to next weeks episode.

I am so enjoying this series and really don't want it to end. There is something delicous about turning back the clock and imagining a return to old values and prices!!!
It is really good to see your side of things too.. I keep trying to catch a glimpse of you in the background or shopping for some burnt loaves or black market goods!

Thanks for the extra photos, Niki. I loved this episode as of course we are mad about the '40s era, but was really disappointed by the bad language from the lady grocer, so unnecessary and completely inappropriate for a programme which is otherwise brilliantly educational for children.

Thank you for the photographs Niki.
It was a great programme again but I hope the grocer was acting under intruction as he didn't come over as being someone who cared for the rest of the community (if you can pay enough you can have it)
I thought the bakers did a great job, lovely to see the locals enjoying a get-together and some reminiscing in the restaurant.
Fantastic to see a lady butcher.

I was lucky enough to see the programme last night, Niki, and I spotted your shop several times!:-))
Hope things slow down a bit for you!
