Seeing as its the 1st of December, I thought it would be OK to start getting a bit more festive around here...
I've been into Bath for a little while today, doing a bit of shopping and soaking up the atmosphere on my day-off.
I snapped a few photos as I went...

One of my favourite shops is Sassy & Boo, which sells beautiful clothes, displayed amongst vintage treasures.

The 10th Christmas Market is in Bath at the moment, until December 12th.

The wooden chalets can be found in various locations around the centre, but predominantly surrounding the beautiful Abbey.

I prefer looking around the market during the evening, when the Christmas lights are all lit up and the smell of mulled wine and cider fills the air - So when hubby is feeling up to it, we will return for that treat.

It will be late night Christmas shopping in Shepton Mallet on Friday. I've been giving my 1970's platforms a polish in preparation! ;-))
platforms with a maxi? or a beehive with a mini? tee hee.
ReplyDeleteHi Niki
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the Christmassy Bath really well. I was there on Sunday and it had a great atmosphere especially with the market on.
So it's going to be the 70s look for you then! I'm not sure what to go for yet, the weather will dictate that...

Such a beautiful place to do one's shopping this time of year! I'm sure I tell you this each December, but Christmastime (the year before my oldest was born) was the last time we visited England. Your lovely photos this time of year always make me nostalgic. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great photos. I have been to London a couple of years ago around Christmas. Wish I was there now , miss the merry- go- rounds and beautiful things in the store windows.
ReplyDeleteI am off to Bath to see the Christmas Market after seeing your Photo's I can't wait.

ReplyDeleteMe too, I would love to be in Bath for that Christmas Market! I wonder why it is only until 12th December? All our markets here are open up to 24th at least, all December through. No chance to see it by myself but enjoy so much seeing it through your eyes!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely, I could send you about ........ 14 inches of snow to make it even more festive!
ReplyDeleteOur white Christmas seems to have arrived very early in Yorkshire!
