I've celebrated getting another year older this week...

I've been so lucky with the cards and presents that I received...Friends and family know me so well...

Hubby bought me a new camera, which I am fast trying to learn how to use...Please bare with me whilst I get to grips with it!

These were some of my first quick shots; just to have a go.

One of my lovely presents prompted a little gardening...

So, despite the ground being as hard as concrete, I was able to get these into the new border that I mentioned I wanted to create this year. As I type this, I can hear the rain falling outside - Our first good downpour for over a month...It will be good to see the garden looking refreshed in the morning and hopefully it will be just what my new plants need to settle them in.

This miniature rose came from one of my daughters - I've planted it inside the old chimney pot (as seen above.)

And seeing how well the clematis that I bought last year is doing, one year on...

I thought I'd put some of my Birthday money towards buying another in a different colour, which I have planted against the fence amongst my new foxgloves.

Today it started flowering already...

There are so many other flowers yet to start, but its great to see how this border has moved on in just over a month from this post, with very little help from me.

Hubby and I have lots of plans for this weekend - Hope yours will be fab!
