Twits Using Twitter!

Am just debating whether to delete my Twitter account...Is anyone else receiving supposedly direct messages from their followers which ask you to log-in to a rogue site?

I have a twitter account but never use it. to me it's not worth the hassle.

Yes, I have. I thought it was just me because I do not fully understand Twitter. It seems to be a giant advertising medium.
