Hopefully its easier to negotiate and it now provides plenty of display areas for the smaller merchandise.
I've changed the window displays, from their previously festive look, to ideas for indoor pursuits whilst the weather isn't so great...
And today I took in my old noticeboard from home, hung it on the wall, and added some vintage treasures...

I'm trying to think of a new way to display my handmade handbags, as I feel hanging them from the dresser makes it look very cluttered, and they also sometimes get missed, being above customer eye level.

It all looks beautiful. I am looking forward to coming over to see the "New Look" very soon.... xx
ReplyDeleteMmmm it is all looking very lovely and tempting. Meant to tell you that my daughter loves the 'Panderson' bag I bought from you in September. We gave it to her for Christmas and it has been everywhere with her! Thank you. Ellie x
ReplyDeleteYou have been so busy - it looks great! I especially love the way you have decorated the notice board - it really shows off you vintage bits!
ReplyDeleteIt's truly remarkable that each and every item in your lovely shop has your own personal touch on it... whether it's one of your fabulous creations, or it's a vintage treasure which you've personally chosen. You really must be thrilled, Niki! I'm still dreaming of a return trip to the UK (and a must-see visit to your shop)!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks wonderful. Alot of work I can tell. Worked on my booth today. Valentine's Day is big here in the U. S. Ready to come back to the U. K. for a visit. Just love London and Edinburg, Scotland. judy in Texas
ReplyDeleteThe shop looks beautiful. I long to come and visit. I might try to get a girlie weekend planned.
ReplyDeleteNiki, the rearrange looks fabulous. Wish I lived closer I'd be there browsing every week! x
ReplyDeleteAlways looks gorgeous to me. One day I will get there! BTW is that a vintage tutu in the window? Will email you.Cx ( BTW blogger has changed my identity to my second blog and I can't seem to amend.)
ReplyDeleteHi Niki, Happy New Year to you and your family. The shop looks so enticing... I can't wait to visit you this year, hopefully in the Spring. Everywhere seems quiet at the moment, but I am sure things will pick up soon!!

Hi Niki!
ReplyDeleteIt 'started a new year. Your set up shop again, I do a lot of company!
Your creations and your porcelain Victorian and vintage are
wonderful .... sigh! ;o))
Thank you for these beautiful images.
A dear greeting, Maria.

Niki,
ReplyDeleteYour shop is beautiful. Part of me wishes I lived closer so I could visit. The other part of me knows that my budget couldn't handle a visit and am relieved we have an ocean between us. You see, I have been known to lack self-control in a shop such as yours and go a little crazy. When my budget is back on track and I can finally get my dream vacation to the UK, I will visit your shop and go crazy then.
Have you considered using a free standing coat tree to display your bags? I have one in my bedroom that holds all of my purses. It doesn't take up much room plus they are now part of the decor.
Have a lovely day!
Valerie
it looks lovely, wish i lived close enough to pop in! fliss xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the results of all that work.
ReplyDeleteValentine's Day is coming up... you might display some heart shaped things in your window.

Hi Cecile,
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your comment and interest in the little tutu. Difficult to date this one, but it does have some age to it...possibly 60's. I would say it would fit a little girl of about 3-5..sorry, that's a bit vague - I could always measure and include some extra photos if you were interested. It is £24.
Hope that helps,
Niki :)
Oh gosh it looks so inviting I do wished I lived closer...
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Niki
Hugs Lynn xxxx
I'm always amazed at your 'window dressing' and think it make me want to live neare and have a big enough place to put all my potential purchases LOL!
ReplyDeleteDon't know if this is of any use as an idea to display your handmade bags.... turn a narrow bookcase on it's side and place the 'bags in the spaces? This could then be placed on a counter, dresser base or maybe in the window?
Happy new year to you and yours and may your little enterpise go from strength to strength.
Sandie xx
I expect it is a bit quiet for you right now, but the shop is looking lovely, as ever. I will have to visit soon..... My best wishes for 2011!
ReplyDeleteWhat inspiration you have all around you! Eye Candy for sure.
ReplyDeleteif you have a crafty friend good at metalwork , how about this idea for the handbags
