Here is my quick look back at 2010, as is becoming a bit of a tradition for me on my blog...
JANUARY:
The year began with a lot of snow, which held up (or not!) my New Year plans for a while...
One of my most memorable events during 2010, was the opening of my new shop 'Nostalgia at No.1' in Shepton Mallet. I received so many lovely comments to the post I wrote about it, where I gave a tour and showed some of the vintage stock I had available.
FEBRUARY:
Although it sparked a little bit of a debate, I had to find a balance for my shop's opening times.
The one that got away- a cushion that I made, which I wished now, I had kept...
MARCH:
The first, and very successful, Dairy House textile and costume event.
I wrote a long post including details of one of my collections, and some of my recent make-over projects.
JULY:
Included a visit to local Camerton Court.
I found time for a mammoth cupboard move.
AUGUST:
Saw me very excited about seeing Mrs. Sergison wearing the c1950's dress, that was bought by the BBC from my shop, for the filming of Turn Back Time.

I was in reflective mood, and paused to think about how things were going in my shop, having been open for around 7 months. (This was one of my favourite posts - It took a while to put it together, but I needed to express my thoughts at that time...)
SEPTEMBER: Hubby and I visited beautiful Dunster and the surrounding area.
I shared some of my favourite textile treasures.
OCTOBER: We stayed in Shrewsbury for a couple of days, to celebrate hubby's Birthday.
I made 'Fallen Angels' for the 'Vintage Bazaar', Frome.
NOVEMBER:
My parents celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

My parents celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
And another celebration was the Victorian Event in Shepton Mallet, to mark the opening episode of BBC1's 'Turn Back Time; the High Street', which also appeared on the regional BBC news.
DECEMBER:
DECEMBER:
Later, despite the very cold, snowy conditions, many turned out for the end of series party, and the final episode of 'Turn Back Time, which was held on the Market Place in Shepton Mallet.
And finally another Christmas came and went...

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely look back at the year gone by. You achieved alot in 2010 with your new shop- good on you! I had a good year, got a new job, starting building a new home with my boyfriend and spent lots of time with my family. I have grown up alot in the last year, as I am now a few years of 30, I feel it was about time. I am looking forward to reading your posts in 2011 and following all the happenings at Nostalgia at No. 1 :)
All things nice...
I have loved following your blog this year, especially with the new shop opening, the great places you have visited which were really intersting and the goings on right outside your front door by the BBC. I have really wanted to get along to see you too. So I hope that this year I will get my wish.
