Button Up!

Not that I'm getting lazy in my old(er!) age, but just now and then its fun to work on a simple creative project that takes just a few minutes to complete... :)
I've been making these simple button brooches today...
A few minutes selecting some of my favourite Deco buttons...
And some brooch bars applied to the backs of them, create simple stylish badges...
Ideal for fastening a warm woolly scarf, or for decorating a jacket lapel.
My daughter (who is currently studying fashion and textiles at uni) reliably informs me that the trends this season take inspiration from the 1940's...So these 'make do and mend' brooches are certainly in vogue! ;-))

A little handmade lace rosette and vintage button detail (with brooch bar on the reverse) make another variation on the theme.
A few spare minutes can sometimes be all it takes.
Hope you've had some creative time today,
Niki x
