Flea Finds!

I know it must look like I am always shopping, but I promise it isn't so! For the first time the Royal Bath and West Showground booked the Antiques Fair and Flea Market on the some month, so I have had double the fun in January, visiting them both!
Here are my purchases......

A dinky set of china cups and saucers and matching jug and sugar bowl, with a country cottage look. A very cute 1930's perpetual calender with Scottie dog statue....

This Goldilocks and the Three Bears ensemble - Consisting of a vintage tin and three little chalk -ware figures. Awwwww!

Yummy Victorian Rose scraps, which I shall use to decorate a cupboard in my living room.

This very sweet trading card for Hoyt's German Cologne. Three bundles of vintage gathered trim and a pretty framed print.
And finally this gorgeous angel panel painted on glass and a cherub wall pocket.

  1. As we like to say over on this side of the pond, "What a haul!" You've got some wonderful goodies! I especially love the Goldilocks set. And of course, I am always collecting old trims as well. =)

Thanks for your messages. I'm so glad I decided not to do the Flea - I don't think I'd have lasted the day! What wonderful finds (as always). Love the wall pocket in the last photo.

  12. You are a lucky girl! I like so much boot fairs and that kind of things. I used to go when my mother in law was alive. Not anymore because now we hardly go to England.

  16. Hi Nancy Jo,
Yes, the roses are paper. They are the kind that were collected in Victorain times and stuck down inside scrap books. I only have a few to add to a cupboard....but it could be an on-going collection... I shall post a pic of the cupboard when it's done.

  17. Wowee! I love the scottie dog (and wouldn't Mary Englebriet also?)the wall pocket-does it have any markings on the back? And the three bears HOW CUTE!

  18. Hi 'Shabby in the City',
    Thanks for your comment.
The wall pcket is completely unmarked on the back, so I imagine it is quite old. It didn't cost me very much because it has been heavily restored on the top left side near the cherub, but that kind of thing doesn't worry us shabby chic loving girls...does it?!
