I have it behind chicken wire in one of my wall cupboards. And it is printed on this lovely set of enamelware canisters......
I also have the same gingham as a curtain on my floor standing unit....it hides a multitude of sins! I added a length of hand crochet lace to the bottom hem, to give it more of a country look.
Well...everywhere really!!!....
I just find gingham so cheerful!
Hello Niki! I think I'm up and running! =)
ReplyDeleteBLUE GINGHAM! Would you believe my house came with light blue gingham wallpaper in the kitchen? I was horrified at first, but since I collect blue willow and flow blue, AND the kitchen had a built-in plate display rack around the perimeter below the ceiling, the gingham stayed! I love your curtain with the crochet trim - lovely idea!
I love the look of blue and white gingham - and replacing glass with chicken wire in your cupboards adds such a lovely homey country look!

Nikki, your post reminded me of a young sister-in-law's wedding years ago, blue and white gingham everywhere! It was charming, and I still come across one of the tablecloths once in awhile and remember it all over.

I love gingham too. I've used a lot of red and white gingham in my flat. I agree, it really is cheerful. Only problem is that George is not keen on it although I think I'm slowly getting him converted. He tells me that when he was younger he used to be scared of it! Very strange I know. How could anyone be scared of a fabric, particularly such a jolly one.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I love your kitchen Niki. The gingham is so fresh and very Country Living :-)
ReplyDeleteI had a friend send me a link to your post. I am "KNOWN" for my blue gingham. They say that blue gingham is my favorite color. I loved all your gingham items. Thanks for the pictures and the post!!!
ReplyDeleteIm a gingham girl too. Though I sit on the red and white side of the fence! I love the blue and white though, it all looks so lovely in your kitchen, and the enamelware.. gasp! Gorgeous.
