I've recently been sorting through all of my vintage collections and have found new places to display them in our home. I will write a blog post about the huge move around which took place this week, but it may take a while to upload, as there are lots of photos, so I think it will have to wait until next week, as I need to concentrate on the Sunday Market first...
Here's one sneaky peek of just a few of my millinery favourites though.
Staying with millinery; I've bought another collection of fun 1950's hats and headpieces this week. Seeing as I no longer have any space at home to expand my collection, I shall be taking them along to my shop tomorrow...
Here they are:
A coral pink sequined pill box with veil.
Mocha flower encrusted hat.
Classic black 50's silk daisies on a rigid veil.
Dainty pastel blue bow topped fascinator.
Another veil headpiece with satin ribbon adornments.
Velvet leaves trim this delicate veil.
Pink velvet berries for another whimsical piece...
With its twin in blue (which could do with a new velvet bow, but its still charming.)
A vintage handmade headband with tiny pink millinery flowers.
A hair comb hiding beneath chiffon daisy blooms.
A hair comb with sweet velvet additions.
And finally another hair comb with a mix of fruits and flowers!
All perfect for summer weddings and garden parties!
Oh yes, and talking of weddings, have you seen Janey's very pretty website? She has a passion for vintage style weddings and offers a professional planning service, using her exquisite eye for design and attention to detail. She has recently added a piece about my handmade hand bags to her facebook page - If you'd like to take a look, just click on 'facebook' on her website.
And just before I go...I've added a post on my other blog showing some of the cushions that I have made this week.
Have a lovely weekend,
Niki x
