Friendship

A few days ago, a friend of mine sent me an email containing these wise words:

There comes a point in your life when you realize:
Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won't anymore...
And who always will.. So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future...

On the very same day, I received an email from my Mum with a link to a film on YouTube. If you don't know the story of The Lion from Harrods, then you may just need some of these....
Enjoy,
Niki x

Hi Niki, how true those words are! I saw the lion video ages ago and sobbed whilst watching it (hubby thought something dreadful had happened when he saw my face), very moving. Julie x

Hello Nikki fantastic post today!
Thank you for sharing ,I had my own experience this year. In December I learned my Mom had my grandmother's last address book.I ask if she had tried to contact anyone in the book ,she said the addresses were too old,I took it upon myself to contact persons using those old addresses. Now I have awesome family connections which led to more family members connecting via the internet.
Love never ends, and I even have new found childhood friends I am talking to again thanks to that address book.Friends forever

Lovely sentiments Niki and so true!

There was a program on the Harrods lion a few weeks ago, it's incredible to think that you could buy these amazing animals in a department store less that 40 years ago, I'm so glad things have changed.

We watched the programme on the tele a few weeks back and it was most moving and heart warming we got through a pile of hankies by the end of the programme. Thankfully things have changed and department stores no longer stock beautiful large animals......

Wise words indeed...

I love the Christian the lion story ~ I saw this a few months ago and wept then and again just now! So touching ~ restores your faith in human and animal nature!

Hi Niki

I watched the television programme too, as you know. I could watch those scenes on YouTube constantly. Incredible.

And as for the wise words ... it makes you wonder who thought them up. They're so true.

Hi Niki, thanks for your message - I should really have approached every stall which I thought could be yours! Next time!
So many interesting things on your blog. The makeover cupboard which you sold at the Flea looks amazing and has inspired me to reach for the eggshell paint. I was interested to see your visit to Corsham Court and the town, as I lived just outside Corsham until a few years ago - very pretty town and the Court gardens are splendid. And finally, I love the quote about friends old and new - so true!
I'm finishing off some customer orders then next week I am free to make what I want for myself - joy!
Happy weekend.
