Spring Greens

I have been inspired by the fresh greens that have sprung up in my front garden this season......
to paint this little cupboard a very vivid shade.

It is in the hallway just outside the kitchen. A useful little cupboard for spare light bulbs and other bits and bobs!

I bought this vintage bird cage from Louise recently. It is a gorgeous aqua green and it stands in our Laundry room. I thought I may line the bottom in vintage wallpaper and display some of my fairy dolls inside.
Here are some other spring greens that accompany the cage.
I found the 'N' for Nostalgia whilst on holiday in Devon a few years ago.
Spring fever has even crept into my crafting this week too....

Have a happy Springtime!

  3. Not to much around here yet that says spring, I maybe hear birds again, thats about it.
Yes your green things are pretty, are you finished in your kitchen now?
I was playing around with all my thrift store things from yesterday and finding a home for them. I took pictures of course. Oh no! I think tomorrow is yet another thrift store day, I usually go right after I drop my daughter off at work, and yep, she works tomorrow. So see its not my fault.

  8. Hi Niki

Green AND yellow? What's happening to you?!!!

Yes, the oils on glass are mounted on velvet plaques. They'll be going to Shepton!

  9. I love the green cabinet and the bird cage is wonderful from Louise. I'm not totally comfortable about the fairies behind bars,I think they are quite well behaved and should have a reprieve.

  19. Love the greens and the little cupboard. Still anxiously waiting Spring. Got a slight feel of it a few days ago with record high temperatures but I'm afraid it’s back to the cold for a little longer. I'll just enjoy looking at your blog and others who are having spring earlier.Everything is just beautiful in your home Niki!

  25. Lovely to see spring when it's trying to snow here. I love the green of the cabinet, and I'm fascinated by the two little pots with metal tops (they look a little like egg coddlers but seem to big??) on the shelf about 3 pictures down. Now, that's the way to live!

I feel so at home here...be sure to stay tuned to my ever changing ebay site on my side bar...closing out an estate for a friend and later today listing some wonderful treasure i.e. red transfer

  29. Lovely pictures, very inspiring. The cupboard looks great, I'm a cream and white paint convert... but might have to consider a change of palette! BTW, Matalan are selling a vintage style white birdcage at the moment, £15 I think, for those of us who can't find a true vintage one!
