Rock Around the Clock

Do you remember this lovely original 1950's dress that I found last month?

I loved the classic bold rose design of the soft cotton fabric.

Well, I sold it a while ago, but I had a feeling that I would be seeing it again...

Filming had begun on the Market Place when I arrived early this morning...Unusually, it went on a lot longer than on previous filming days inside 'Sergison's Grocery' just across from my shop.

All morning I kept catching tantalising glimpses of what I thought was the dress...

But I had to get on with my work...
Then, just after 2pm, a lunch break was finally called for the Sergison family and the film crew.
I then seized my moment, and Mrs. Sergison very kindly agreed to pose for a photo for me outside my shop.

Doesn't she look gorgeous?
Tomorrow I think the hemlines rise as they head towards the swinging sixties!
Have a lovely weekend,
Niki x

  2. I was born in 1951 so I never owned a dress just like that but I bet my mom did.
I do however have a dress made of chiffon that I got about 10 years ago and I swear it has the same big blue roses on it!
    Have a good evening...
