Tattered and Torn Treasures

I wrote about the mammoth cupboard move in our home last month, but at the time was unable to take many photos of the glazed cabinet on our landing... So for anyone who would like to see this corner of our home, here's what I keep behind it's glass doors:

There's an eclectic mix, but they are all things that 'speak' to me...

Silk bridesmaid shoes from the C19th.

Romantic keepsakes such as antique lace and a wax flower wedding headpiece.

A tiny shell souvenir purse.

Beaded bags and French delights.

A whimsical floral hat.

My Staffordshire lambs are a treasured possession, given to me by my Grandma when I was young.

Teeny vespa case with a sweet bird on the front.

Cherubic friends in a French fabric covered box.

  2. I went back to see about your mammoth cupboard move and it makes me think of my painting project that started with my front door! Then the inside of the door, the closet door, the living room walls and the hall. Of course, lots of treasures had to be moved off the walls and in cabinets, etc. But it WILL be pretty when I finish!

You things are all delightful! Thanks for sharing.I love my short visits to England. ♥♫
