Prettiness Restored

I felt the need to restore some prettiness to my blog today, after that snazzy 70's post!

I've been working hard all this week and have produced lots more items for the V&H fair. Its been a bit drizzly recently, so thankfully I haven't been seduced outside too much until today. Some fresh air and a quick chat with my hens was just what I needed! (Who says working on your own from home sends you slightly round the twist?!)

The garden was in need of some rain and the flowers are looking all the better for the welcome drink...

Our poor postie has to battle past all the aquilegias at the moment, but I'm so glad he did this morning, as I had a surprise parcel delivered...

Pretty pink wrappings and a homemade card with a tantalising glimpse of a retro kitchen...
Can you guess who it was from?
Teena sent me a belated Birthday pressie of a sweet little book and a crochet lace heart decoration. Thanks T!

The illustrations are so sweet...one to reserve for reading in the summer house, I think! ;-))
In another parcel was some c1940's fabric that I had bought from Lois, which she dispatched in record time. I intend to use this to finish the make-over in our laundry room.
Parents evening at our daughter's school tonight for us, and then just one more day left until the weekend!
I better go and finish a rose patchwork cushion cover that I started earlier...
Enjoy the rest of your week,
Niki x
