Pastures New!

Not sure how I am feeling this morning. My eldest daughter leaves for America tomorrow. She has been lucky enough to be accepted on an exchange programme, to complete her second year of her University course in Montana. A great opportunity for her and she is very excited!

She wont be back home until Christmas! The family will miss her greatly, but wish her well.
'Have a wonderful time in this new chapter of your life, we love you lots and will think of you every day!' xxxx
Safe Journey. xx

  1. I completely understand how you must feel.
It's difficult when she goes so far away, for such a long time for all of you.But it's a wonderful experience for your daughter to go to America.
You sure are going to have a wonderful Christmas!

  2. Ahhh, I wish her the very best of luck. What an opportunity! Goodbyes are really hard aren't they? Thank goodness for the internet and emails eh?

  3. Awwwww a hard time for you Niki but as Alison said thank goodness for emails and the internet. My sister lives in the USA now and I kid myself most of the time that she is just around the corner or I think I would crack up. I miss her so much but the internet makes communication so much easier. Christmas will be here before you know it :-) Good luck to your daughter and bon voyage. x

  4. Oh Niki! I have a 17 year old daughter,so I know how you must feel, they get all grown up so quickly and it is very hard to let them go,but wont she have the best time, and everyone is right, the internet, mobile phones, help us keep in touch, and yes,Christmas is not that far away, yikes!

  5. Thank you EVERYONE for your kind words and constructive comments.
We have had a phone call from our daughter this morning- she has arrived in Montana. She just needs a long sleep!
Think I can relax a bit now and look froward to her having her lap-top set up for chats!

Thank you for finding the time to visit me...
Niki xx
